Purpose and Reason:

the purpose of this amendment to the "RI Marine Fisheries Statutes and Regulations - Part VII - Minimum Sizes of Fish/Shellfish" is to (1) increase the commercial possession limit of scup to 500 lbs. [from 100 lbs.] for gear types other than floating fish traps; and (2) to increase the commercial possession for the summer flounder fishery to 1,000 lbs. [from 500 lbs.] effective 12:01 on 10/23/04. Supercedes Erlid #3201
